2025 Spring Administrative Gallery Intern Job

Unveil Gallery is a contemporary art gallery in Irvine. Its concept revolves around the idea of revealing and celebrating artists from diverse backgrounds and showcasing their remarkable artwork. Through regular exhibition programs, we seek to bring together artists from diverse backgrounds and cultural contexts, providing a platform for them to share their unique perspectives and experiences. Internship Opportunity

We are offering an exciting internship opportunity in the field of art that does not include financial compensation. This position is designed to provide valuable hands-on experience in the art world, allowing interns to gain practical skills and insights.

Internship Credit Eligibility

While this internship is unpaid, eligible candidates may have the opportunity to receive academic credit toward their major requirements in art-related programs. We encourage interns to explore this option with their educational institution to ensure compliance with their academic program's guidelines.

Please note that this internship is focused on providing a learning experience and exposure to the art industry and should be pursued for its educational and career development value.

Assistance is required with the following responsibilities: 

  • Preparation of gallery space 
  • Greeting guests and talking to them about the artwork 
  • Support for exhibitions, opening receptions and special events
  • Upkeep and organization of gallery digital asset files, i.e. Obtaining artists statements, typing and reformatting them with assigned formatting
  • Manage and update gallery database and website CRM
  • Preparation of supporting materials for exhibitions, i.e. Exhibition price lists, private viewing materials, posters and etc.
  • Supports in social media marketing, e.g. Instagram: create monthly schedules, draft posts and select photos, manage daily posts
  • Interns are encouraged to help with Installations, Gallery Receptions, and Special Events during the course of their internship
  • Other duties as assigned

Time Commitment: 

10 -20 hours per week during business hours. We offer flexible schedules to coincide with students class and work schedules. Supervision will be provided on site by the Gallery Director who will monitor the intern’s progress and be available for questions and directions as needed. 

Qualifications and Skills: 

Successful candidates will have excellent written and oral communication skills, be detail-driven and organized, and be flexible and comfortable with a fast-paced working environment. 

General to advanced knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet (Excel) and graphic software (Photoshop).
