Unveil Gallery is delighted to announce that it will present the group exhibition Reverie
retrouvée from December 9th, 2023 through Jan 26th, 2024. Opening Reception to be held on Dec 9th, 2023, 16:30 – 19:30. The exhibition will feature the works of four Los Angeles based artists: Dai Yuhua, Lou Yezi, Xu Shuai and Zhang Jing, spanning various mediums, including oil-on-canvas paintings, video art, and works on paper.
In this exhibition, artists draw inspiration from discarded objects, both the known and the
remembered, found in nature, history, waste, or the mundane artifacts of daily life,
transforming them into subjects of artistic creation through various perspectives and
media.
Reverie retrouvée represents not just a material innovation but a profound intellectual
challenge. This theme encourages us to reconsider our relationship with the world,
reminding us of the infinite creativity that resides in the myriad facets of our daily
existence. Through this exhibition, artists unearth the extraordinary within the ordinary,
breathing new life into forgotten items. It's a testament to the rebirth of objects, the
resurgence of history, and the blossoming of imagination. As we contemplate the old, the
lost, and the forgotten, we discover new wellsprings of inspiration.
A Reception for Reverie retrouvée will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023, 16:30-
19:30 PM. The exhibition will be on view through January 26, 2024.
