Bing Liu

Bing Liu's approach to art serves as a reminder of the power of art to connect with and respond to life in a unique way, deviating from the sometimes-restrictive paths of art history.

Bing Liu, born in 1985 in Beijing, China, is an artist based in Beijing. In 2008, he graduated from the Oil Painting Department of Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts. Liu's approach to art serves as a reminder of the power of art to connect with and respond to life in a unique way, deviating from the sometimes-restrictive paths of art history.

Liu's extraordinary outlook on life is evident in her passionate and curious manner of speaking. She approaches her experiences in Africa with excitement and a traveler's perspective. Bing's journeys and encounters in Africa have undoubtedly left a profound impact on her, influencing her artistic expression, and allowing her to perceive life from a new perspective.

Liu's creative work goes beyond the confines of art history genres, and attempting to categorize her work within such frameworks would be a misinterpretation. Firstly, the nature depicted in her paintings is not intended solely for human existence. Furthermore, Liu neither seeks aesthetic effects nor treats her art as a weapon of struggle. She paints purely, capturing what she sees and hears, resulting in what we observe in her artwork.
